Plan Christmas in four steps

  1. Late November: build the advent calendar so it’s ready for 1 December, then share its link. Doors unlock by real calendar date (UTC), so everyone sees the same ones open at the same time.
  2. Early December: start the Secret Santa and share the join link. You draw names whenever you’re ready, but the draw locks the list, so wait until everyone who should be in has joined. You can add an optional wishlist question so each person says what they’d like.
  3. Mid December: make and print the gift labels. They’re sized for a standard 4×6 print, which most home printers and photo printing services handle directly. Only the preview shows what will print, so download after your final edits.
  4. Christmas Eve: open the Santa Tracker with the children and watch the journey move around the world.

Frequently asked questions

Are the Christmas tools free?

Yes. They’re free to use, and the site is paid for by ads. The Secret Santa and advent calendar work through share links, so nobody has to make an account.

Does the Santa gift label maker send my child’s name anywhere?

You don’t need an account, and nothing is stored on a server. If you choose the personal-message QR code, the name and verdict are built into the code’s link, so whoever scans it sees a Santa message using exactly that name and verdict.

How many people do I need for Secret Santa?

At least 3. With only one or two people there is no meaningful way to keep a gift exchange secret.

Can people peek at the advent calendar doors in advance?

No. A locked door’s message and image are never sent to the browser at all, so there’s nothing to find even by looking at the page’s network requests.

What size do the gift labels print at?

A standard 4×6 print, the size most home printers and photo printing services handle directly.

How is the Santa Tracker different from the New Year tracker?

The Santa Tracker is a simulated journey based on real timezones. The New Year’s Tracker is genuinely live, following midnight as it really arrives in each timezone.
