The tools

Run an egg hunt in four steps

  1. Decide how many eggs: each card matches an egg number, and 16 eggs fills exactly two pages.
  2. Write the clues: type the ones you have and leave a blank line for the rest. Blank lines print ruled lines so you can write them by hand.
  3. Hide the eggs, print the cards: cards are about 3.9×2.5 inches, two across and four down on a US Letter page.
  4. For a bigger group: split the children into teams with the team generator and print a shuffled checklist for each team.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to type every clue?

No. A blank line in the clues box prints that card with ruled lines for writing by hand, and an empty box gives you all-blank cards.

What size do the clue cards print at?

Roughly 3.9×2.5 inches, arranged two across and four down on a standard US Letter page.

Are my clues uploaded?

No. The cards and the PDF are generated locally in your browser.
